When will Trump push for a federal mental health facility program?

Something has GOT to be done. Waaaay too many nuts running around.
How would that work for people who think they're sane, when they are clearly living in a false reality?

Frankly I think a lot of people might pretend to be nuts to get taken care of and play Call of Duty all day.

Do they have hot nurses?

Great, more programs.
You can throw money at the wall for every issue.
It starts with the family unit. Try that.

Even if mental health facilities existed (which to be clear, I think they should) this guy that killed Charlie would not have been in one. He is a radicalized Reddit liberal that lives his life either on the internet or with his trans room mate apparently. This is where the education system forcing children to be quiet and minimizing socialization/interaction with the other children only so they can go home and sit on an iPad looking at YouTube, tic toc, Reddit or whatever is leading to a whole lot of young people that are similar to this guy.

I don't disagree with your comment at all.
I just think that getting people treatment and removing society from harm's way is quicker than a couple of generations of what does need to be done.

90% of the posters on PT need mental help

Severe mental illness has nothing to do with the family unit. Its a disease that can affect anyone.

Believe it or not, it's pretty easy for mental healthcare professionals to detect people faking mental disorders.

I live in a rural community, and just yesterday went and talked to a neighbor who posted in a Community Forum and whose camera caught a guy leave the road and begin wandering around in his yard. Talked to another neighbor and the same, as they watched him go through barbed wire fences and lay down in the open field. It is hot and dry.
I remember a while back seeing an obviously very disturbed ( think psychotic) man walking down the road. I knew he could be real trouble for the wife or grandchildren, or most of the rednecks around here like myself. Like the moccasins I kill regularly, I feel sorry for them, but the social dynamics just don’t line up for mercy. And we are armed, alone re LE, and any aggression from an attacker who can take your gun and become an armed threat likely to use it, is really problematic. In many ways.
This is unusual as most have always stayed in the town nearby. After a call he was arrested by LE and taken away and is likely better off in a cell where Meds are available. Trump is right to address this from both angles. Compassion and security. It must be a nightmare to wander around in that state of mind, and the spiritual dynamic for those of us who are spiritual beings is challenging.
This is kinda like the Trans thing, and the ‘born this way’ dilemma is one of the more perplexing philosophical, theological and spiritual issues there is. I won’t even mention the obvious and only ‘answer’ as the muh consensus folk head to the hills and do the ‘back burner’ thing.
Lord have mercy on them who love. It’s coming.

This is a good post. Compassion and Security. For all of us.
Again, well said.

I'd be in favor of a walled off city or two in each state for those who can't live or won't live, in regular society. Nothing necessarily punitive, just a giant time-out zone where they have their freedom but aren't bugging the rest of us.

Has the Gov ever taken over anything and made it better? Private sector is the way

Unfortunately, because of HIPPA, the family cannot help a lot of people with severe mental illness.

I know a great family with a schizophrenic son. They tried for over a decade to get him some sort of help.
Last winter he had an outburst and stabbed is father in the neck. The daughter was visiting from college for the holidays and tried to stop the bleeding to no avail. Horrible and sad.
Some people are just nuts and need to be in a nuthouse.

This guy's parents are registered Republicans, and he turned from an in the closet Homo into a radicalized Tranny loving Homo. His parents have been reported to be active members of the LDS. The guy is a Psychopath, and no one really knew, maybe except his Luva. Dog Day Afternoon
