On to S4 and one of the greatest characters on TV just made his intro.

Lalo Salamanca

I also forgot the scheme to get Huell Babineaux out of his charges. The website and church scheme. Hahah

Not sure I can think of a better example of such a long anticipated character/storyline completely living up to the hype.

He stole the show. The story about the cartel and Gus was great. The law firm drama, not so great.

Dalton stole the show. I'm glad they picked someone that speaks legitimate Spanish. One of the few criticisms I have of breaking bad is the Spanish scenes were laughably bad. Bolsa was the only one that sounded authentic.

Lalo absolutely takes this show up a notch

It was really good before he shows up, but then turns into elite tv after

It really is. I remember when they announced they were going to make the spin off with Saul - I thought, no way this will be good.

I was 100% wrong. Fantastic show.

I like it better because the dialogue is better. There may not be a character with more perfect dialogue than Hank, at least before he got shot.

The last season fricking sucked though because the dialogue was no where near up to par and everything had a dark tint or low lighting maybe to hide how much the actors had aged.

Did a rewatch this summer. It's incredible television. Also makes you realize just how big a piece of shite Walter was.

Best part about Lalo Salamanca was when they first introduced the character remember having a WTF, who tf is this guy reaction. It took a couple of episodes before realizing that Lalo was one of the best characters of all time.

I just want to take a moment to point out how incredibly cold-blooded it was for Gus to hire the best doctor to rehabilitate Hector, only to fire her in front of him when she said she could get him walking again. Man that added so much to their rivalry in BB.

Cold, yes, but ultimately the cause of his demise. He could have killed Hector long ago, but by keeping him alive, Gus set into motion his own death.

Gus's hubris far exceeded Walter's in my opinion.

Disagree.

But I will admit now, years later, that the Chuck storyline got a little old. Rebounded in a huge way by the end of Season 3, but when you bring in Gus Fring to the Mike plot, they needed a more compelling story than 'bitter old man afraid of electricity' imo

He did the same thing for BCS that Saul Goodman did for Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad got better the second Saul Goodman entered the room
