Purebloods, looking back what was the primary reason you avoided the jab.

Primary reason: I still believed in natural immunity. I caught COVID months prior to the jab rollout so it was unnecessary for me. I was living by the old definition of vaccine.
2. The second reason, the people that were dying from/with COVID were dying with an average of 2.1 comorbidities, like diabetes, heart condition, COPD, etc. I did not have a morbidity. None of my family members had/have morbidities including my 79 year old dad at the time. We all avoided it. (Everyone in my family caught some version of COVID and everyone survived like it was an influenza infection.)

Main reason for me is I had a mild case of Guillain–Barré syndrome (GBS) as a kid and have been told to avoid the Flu shot.
Plus like Covid 19 had a 99% survival rate. Also we do not know any long term effects since it was hastily developed.

For me it was not a single reason but multiple.
1. For healthy, young people it was no worse than a cold or flu
2. Anything that democrats and the media push, I’m against.
3. Alternative options were being suppressed
All of these were red flags to me

I got lucky. My PCP was a frontline doc before it became a thing. He advised all of his patients not to get it. He was ultimately forced out of his practice with a large group at a well known hospital here in Bham. He’s at a smaller practice now, but he paid a price.

Agree w you - I believed in natural immunity, that and I’m not so much a “rules follower” - I checked out early on the Kung Flu shamdemic…

Primary reason for me is the whole thing was just weird... the absolute top down control of people and information set off every red flag in my mind.

It was the demonization of Dr. Atlas, who was advocating herd immunity as the natural approach. The way he was portrayed was unbelievable. I can’t remember who the guy was on substack who laid out how many protocols were being bypassed or downright ignored in trolling out the vax, but that was what had me convinced that I wanted no part f it. Fauci being a smug little POS didn’t exactly have me trusting the establishment.

I looked at the risks of not being vaccinated vs being vaccinated. By the time the vaccine was widely available, before mandates, there was enough data to conclude I wasn't at risk and neither were my children. By 'risk' I mean if we caught it we weren't going to die or have any kind of prolonged, acute suffering. On the other hand it wasn't clear what the risk of long term side effects were from taking the vaccine. So by my reasoning I understood the risk of contracting covid and they were relatively small and I did not understand the risks of vaccine side effects, so I elected to not take the vaccine.

Because EVERYTHING we were told about covid was a lie up to that point. I just didn't believe they suddenly started telling the truth when the shot came along

I'm usually resistant to anything pushed THAT hard. Also, there was near zero data about the potential side effects of that shot.

Have mentioned here before many times, the jab killed my father in law.
He died one week after his 2nd shot, blood clots through out his organs. He was 68 years old.

He's a hero.

Same.

mRNA wasn’t duly tested. New vaccines need years to properly check for effectiveness and test for side effects. Plus, Covid 19 is manufactured, not naturally occurring.
I still suspect they don’t know what the hell they have done. I’m the only one in my immediate or extended family who hasn’t had the mRNA jab.

1) Covid was nothing more than a "supercold" that killed the very old, the very sick and the very fat. I was none of those things.
2) I had already had in in January 2020 (picked it up at the CFBNC Game in NO).
3) No one could (or would) say what was in it (its chemical composition) and the one thing we knew was in it (mRNA) was completely unproven and had failed every prior trial.

Friend since childhood is a cardiologist and he advised me and my family to avoid getting it at all costs

When the chance of survival is almost 99% I don't put that into the luck category. I put that in the logic category.
If I win the lottery with a 0.0000000000985% chance, now that is lucky.
