Lately I have been fascinated by the concept of spaces

I go to a field and set up my hunting blind and I create a room. And while I am there it is ‘my room’. And even though it is only thin sticks and camo material in my mind it forms a barrier between me and everything outside the blind. And then when I leave I remove the blind and ‘my room’ is gone like a moment in time.

My friend’s wife was dying in a bed in the living room of their modest home. Just feet away in another house people were living their lives in a completely different space. Considering distance all of the people were close together, but the walls that had been put in place to define the houses created different worlds.
