Honestly don't remember Shawn Burks right off but I do remember an oldie but a goodie and I compare Whit Weeks to this guy all the time. His name....Ron Sancho. That LB seemed to know where the ball was going before anyone else on the LSU defense did. And he was a sure tackler. But the improvement of Whit Weeks over Ron Sancho is Whit Weeks has Eric Hill's speed (companion LB of Sancho). Sancho simply wasn't as fast as Whit Weeks is and the latter diagnoses plays just as well as RS did.

Wow… both players play and played with the same intensity.. Burks engine never stopped .. it’s like watching Shawn Burks playing football again.. I was at the LSU vs Tulane game in 1984 and I watched Shawn Burks clotheslined 2 Tulane players in the endzone during a game ending brawl.. can’t wait to see Whit Weeks possibly do that one game…

Did anyone ever find a video of this? It’s been talked about a lot here. I remember the fight, but I’ve never seen a video of it.

Burks was good. Didn't have the speed Whit had but he had early recognition speed. Whit seems to have both, have to go with Whit.

Burks sold me some BEAUTIFUL wood floors reclaimed from a business in New York...
So, for real wood floors it's Burks ovwr Weeks.
However..for a real trip to the woodshed I would hate to have either one of them running in my direction...they play very similarly..
