For those that care to know about VT (I know there are thousands and millions of you)
My prediction - USC by 10
Offense - Phil Montgomery is the new OC as our OC who was not consistent went to Ohio St to be the OL coach.
New OL Coach - we lost our two best linemen from last year with Chaplin to Auburn and Moore to LSU That being said, we actually have a coach after the joke over the past few years. Tough task today versus Stewart of USC
QB - If we get Drones of 2 years ago, we have a chance. We get the Drones last year who ran for his life and got injured, we are done.
RBs - our man Tuten is now with the Jags, but the transfew Hawkins has surprised
WR - Fast group with more incentive under Montgomery, very good group
Special Teams - Should be decent, which means I will jinx them. Our kicker has range
Defense - this is the wild card. Fired our D Coordinator from last year and brought in Siefkes from the AZ Cardinals. No one really knows what the actual configuration will be but has lots of Zimmer bases from what has been seen.
DL - probably our best one in some time. Should be able to pressure, and slow the run down
LBs - wild card...lots of talent but has been our most underwhelming group under Pry
DBs - loosing Mansoor to LSU obviously hurts, but lots of talent back there. Biggest question is safety. Hopefully the D line will make it easier on them.
As a VT fan, I just want to see the agressiveness that has been missing th e last few years. Probably the most talented team under Pry, but with two new coordinators who knows.
