Not sure why it took me so long to think about this but Heineken warm had to taste fricking awful.

I’m sure personally I used it at least 20 different times.

Why New Orleans doesn’t have a statue to this man is quite puzzling?

I keep thinking about the genius of using the buoyancy of the tot in the water to carry the maximum number of beers. He has what 60 to 70 beers in there. That’s a heavy load without the flood waters to help him out. He even put a beer in his back pocket to increase efficiency.

I’m convinced Boosie wrote Set It Off about this gentleman.

-/Great idea. And put it in the middle of the street so it blocks traffic

Did they ever identify who Lootie is/was? With the technology we have and the wide-spread knowledge of this image, I can't believe at this point no one has come forth to say they were Lootie, or someone knows who this guy is. Surely the statute of limitations have expired on this theft?

As if the box of heinies wasn’t enough, he saved yet another in his back pocket. True heroism.

The lone beer in his back pocket

Is the master stroke.

Live long and prosper, Lootie.

Compared to the backwash cocktail mixed from Bourbon St’s garbage can treasure, that warm Heineken probably tasted like Dom Perignon.

Took me 20 years to realize Heineken isn’t the only kind of beer in the tub.
Lootie was a cultured man with a variety of tastes it appears.

In fairness to Lootie, it was a pretty good time to steal some beer and share with friends.
