"Clemson's my national champion. I got Clemson winning this football game," Pollack said on "See Ball Get Ball." "They got a lot less to break in, a lot less new. LSU's got to find themselves. And I think LSU is going to be a playoff team at the end of the season... But in this part of the year I go with a known, and I have more known commodities on Clemson."

Just bc someone is predicting lsu to lose doesn’t mean they hate LSU.

His reasoning is logical, but shallow.
Its a tough call, IMO, but with two roughly evenly matched teams, its easy to go with the home team.
LSU had a trove of really good portal players, most of whom have been here since spring. They all have significant experience and are not unknown commodities. These talent upgrades are significant and underappreciated in the analyses and predictions i have seem.
I understand the need to "mesh" with new teammates, but this applies mostly to QB/WR and among DBs. I think Pollock and others make too much of that issue here.
The OL experience is a real issue.

Clemson beat 2 teams with a winning record last year.

But now they’re a powerhouse.

One time I was walking to the Stadium and he was next to us, spoke with us for a good bit and was extremely approachable.

Certainly not enough interaction for me to truly know him, but he gained my respect.

I was prepared to be pissed but it’s rational enough, we just have to prove it.
