Congrats to the former Tulane QB but surely Duke could have gotten more bang for their buck than $4m per

NIL seems to be finding its equilibrium. Top end qb’s are probably worth a couple million bucks a year to their teams plus any outside money their able to get.

I don’t believe any of these numbers.

Also Arch is the highest paid QB, but it’s actually from NIL & not UT.

Case in point… these numbers are shite

Beck needs to stay in college for another 10 years insane that he’s getting that much. Maybe Duke will offer him 5 mil next season.

No wonder he fought so hard to have his juco year not count. He was on his way to CFL or insurance sales without that ruling.

Keep in mind these are not actual pay numbers. These are On3s subjective valuations, which they freely admit to adjusting for 'feel', rather than any hard data.

It’s honestly beyond disbelief just how poorly Nico and his family played their hand.

I always wanted college players to be paid… but damn … didn’t think it would go this far… I was thinking 10-20k, free food or merch from a sponsor, hell even selling some autographed memorabilia… I was way off .. out of them 21 QBs 4 or 5 going end up on NFL rosters in a meaningful way

Maybe, maybe not. Depends who's truthful and who's not.

Not in this case as Arch is easily the highest "valuated" qb on ON3. This is scuttlebutt from sources around the country and primarily agents. Agents love to brag about how much they got their clients.

Look at the schools of the headscratchers and the answer is simple. They have to spend the cap amount in revenue sharing with a specific percentage set aside for football. A school like Duke or Vandy for instance, dont have high school all Americans littered across their rosters like the big boys. They have to make up that money somewhere. No better place than the QB.

Always remember for the morons that argue college sports popularity is about the players and not schools:

Instead of beginning his professional football, or whatever other, post college career to make as much NIL money as he wanted with absolutely no restrictions, Diego pavia sued the ncaa for extra eligibility, and the judge decided in his favor.

Because he will make more money being attached to an ncaa institution than he would on his own.

I’m glad to see these guys making big money. There are too many 18-22 y/o women making bank on TikTok and IG by doing little more than showing off their arse and tits.

The modern world already favors young women enough. At least the college football players have real talent and actually have to put in some hard work to be good at it.

It’s about both.

That $500,000 Lambo ain’t going anywhere without a $50 tank of gas in it. Fans don’t just want to see their team play. They want to see them win. And winning costs money. It’s also a nice perk to see a bunch of NFL guys playing over guys who will be selling insurance in a few months.

I know these numbers may not be accurate, but this guy should get a share of the money because nobody gave a crap about Vandy until he came along. There will be people actually interested in watching their games this year because of him and will be huge for the program.

Also he has a good story working his way up the ranks. Good story.

I’d argue we’re still in a bubble yet to burst. That’s an insane amount of money to be dishing out when half of those teams’ seasons will be ending in November

Boosters won’t go broke, but there’s no way they’re keeping up this pace of giving indefinitely after enough seasons with no results. And corporate sponsors can’t all be finding these investments worth it
