Premise: married and stayed married to one another.

I can’t.

Me - tick
Parents - tick
Grandparents - both sides - divorced

Curious how rare is this generational trifecta.

*raises hand*

Disclaimer: my parents were both killed in a car accident two weeks after my first birthday. Also, my grandparents were from the WWII generation so divorce wasn’t even in their vocabulary.

And same for my wife’s parents and grandparents.

Yes.
And for all, mom and dad and both grandparents, I never heard them hardly raise their voices at each other.
Kind of a beaver cleaver upbringing.

ETA: Yes for me as well but we sure raised our voices plenty but mostly got past it.

No divorce in over 5 generations from either parent's side. Before that unkown, but records don't indicate any 2nd marriage back to 1571.

My mother never divorced but she did bury 2 husbands and a long term fiancee.

Both my sisters married and they died still married to their now widower husbands.

Both sets of grandparents never divorced but both my grandmas were widows by the time I was born on my mother's side and a young kid on my father's side.

I, on the other hand, have been twice divorced and now married to my 3rd wife who I wish I'd have met before I married the first one.

Grandparents on mom side married 51 years before she passed from lupus.

Dad side, married 32 years before she died of a heart attack.

My parents have been married almost 40.

Hand raised.

My parents met when they were 17 and 15 and never dated anyone else. My dad still remembers what my mother was wearing the first time he saw her. They were married 64 years and three months.

I read this line no less than 10 times.

Was hoping this was a Star Wars (Darth Vader) joke.

Horrific. So sorry.
