Would you let an insurance nurse come to your house?

Medical insurance company called today and said they wanted to send a nurse practitioner to my house to do an evaluation. Seems that my yearly physical ought to be sufficient. Has anyone else here experienced this?

We’ll evaluate after you post her picture.

Enjoy your last few days with both kidneys.

Tell them no. They won’t cover your claim anymore but you’ll have won the battle.

If you are under Medicare age (65) refuse it. It’s none of their damn business. My wife is a NP and she said they don’t need to do that unless you are over 65. Screw them.

its a scam, there is federal finance support to the insurance companies to do this and contractors have sprung up to shake the money tree. All they do is try to get between you and your PCP. They are more difficult to get rid of than an Indian call center

I had to have that done for a life insurance policy. No big deal

United Healthcare has been blowing up my phone attempting to come to my house to do some evaluations. Probably to see if our showers, rugs, etc. would fit the profile. It's none of their business.
I told them "no" so many times I can't count. I asked them to stop calling and eventually blocked the number.

No. You have a doctor for a reason.
My mom is on Medicare and gets calls and mail all the time about them wanting to set up in-home visits. It is racket by the company to milk even more money from the government.

Experienced this with my mom. Do not let them do it in any way. They are not coming for your good. They are coming to save the insurance company money and be able to deny things.

Yes, when my wife applied. Routine, and easier than going to meet them at some clinic.

Evaluation of what? Your overall health, cognitive abilities, take a peek at your medication bottle to make sure you're taking them???
Which medical insurance carrier do you have?

I've seen the paperwork when they would come to see my 80+yo mom.
They just do a BP check, height and wt measurement.
