Their website says FREE fed ex return slip. I called in for them to pick up a tv I dont want anymore that had free shipping and was delivered 5 days ago. The lady then says that they'll have to charge me the $99.99 shipping that I had on a rebate.

I then told here no, that their website says free return and I am going by their website.

She then ask me about paying only 59.99. I repeated the website claim.

She asked me to consider keeping the tv, I said no and that is why I am on the phoen with you.
I told her, you charge me and I will never buy anything from best buy again.

Wendesday geek squad is comign pick it up for free.

What kind of trash bag buys a TV, which can easily be seen in person to research picture quality, then returns it?

Lying to customers is a foreign concept to me, but it seems to be a common practice now.

The same people who buy things "because its a good deal" and not because its what they need or necessarily want. These people don't follow the "cry once" rule. They'll just buy 10 shitty things and get off on a discount.

This doesn’t make sense. So you bought it to get the rebate then wanted to keep the $100 rebate and return the tv?

You’re one of those people who use stores as a rental service. Lemme guess, you rented the tv for the saints game.

We returned a tv years ago because it ended up being a little too big for the living room. Look God awful gawdy once we set up... Went down a size.

Online sales impact brick and mortar stores and local economies by offering things like free shipping. Anytime you can take advantage of them a screw them out of a dollar, i fully support that.

you sound as trashy as the poster who left their cart full of groceries at Costco because the line was long.

Are you so lazy and worthless you can’t drive up to BestBuy and return it? People like you are a scourge on our society. Same mentality of the people who litter the parking lot and refuse to return their shopping carts.

It was more of a helphint for fellow consumers to not just take charges from big companies, but F'it. Next time I will keep it to myself and let you guys pay for nothing, thanks.

So they have free returns and you got a free return. Congrats I guess.

This is why everything is so expensive. I get that you are going by the terms of the deal, but I hope you can see that the cost of their employees picking it up, because you don’t want it anymore, rather than you bringing it in is a net loss to them and net zero for you.

HD and Lowe’s both suck now because of this behavior

Tv's can have dead pixels, buggy software, nasty dirty screen effect, backlight bleed, etc. You won't really know unless unbox one at your house and start fiddling around with it.

Valid reasons for a return, but OP is making it sound like he just changed his mind a few days later. No mention of wanting to return it due to defects or other issues with the TV itself.
