Hard to beat how efficient and cost effective cows are at turning plants into meat.

Was doomed from the start when they used “meat” as part of name. Headwinds from the start with all meat lovers.

I never tried it and never will

This is 100 percent correct and the real key to their failure. I have no problem with a plant based diet for health reasons. I personally eat meat, but if you don't want to, i don't care.

The problem is most (or a lot of) people who eat plant based are trying to be healthy, and this mystery "food" was anything but....

A dog will eat its own shite. Let's be careful using them as barometers.

Exactly. There was no real market for this. And they claimed to be targeting meat eaters who weren't ever going to eat an industrial pink-slime puck that tasted like chemicals and couch foam.

That was my issue. I’m not, at all, even so much as vegetarian leaning, but I don’t mind eating vegetarian dishes on occasion. But I told my wife flat out early on that I had zero interest in anything pretending to be meat.

They eat cat shite too, but still won't eat a Beyond Meat product. That makes them a perfect barometer.

not surprising... shite every restruant that served this type of stuff, it was usually a $2.00+ upcharge just to eat fake meat instead of real meat.

So it costs more and it taste like arse... not a good combo
