If tweet fails to load, click here. This really gets to the heart of the matter. You are never going to get crime to 0% but if there are places you would never in a million years let your college age daughter or elderly mother go, crime is a problem.
An expectation of safety should be the norm.

The answer to this is clearly we need to staff up and have a more heavy handed federal government crack down on crime. This way everyone can feel safe....

Glad you see it correctly although you attempted snide humor

Don’t know why you’re using the sarcasm font, when you are 100% correct. For years now we have catered to the criminals instead of the taxpayer.

What we really don't need is arrogant pricks like you taking a flippant approach to this real issue because of your fricked up political beliefs.

From someone that supports all aspects of GOV nannyisms such as DEI initiatives, SNAP, and gun control - just a few examples - but draws the fricking absolute line in this case.

What you underestimate is the level of concern that most of us have for you and your ilk.
I don’t care if you all do away with each other. As a matter of fact, I encourage it.
I’ll take care of my own.

Because defunding the police did so well, eh?

Democrats are more concerned about the criminals feeling safe from the police. They ask: "If my son was committing a crime here, would he get arrested? Would he get roughed up for resisting arrest?"

I'm cool with lax DA's and judges if they allow me to defend myself and property as necessary.
But we all know that will never happen.

It's the height of comedy when Marxist Democrats pretend that they've got that old-time, small government religion. And, of course, they invariably Sideshow Bob themselves in the face with a logical rake.
The District of Columbia was specifically mandated in the Constitution to be run by the federal government. Usually, I would append "...but, of course, you knew that" to a statement like the previous sentence. In the case of this window licker, I have my doubts.

Targeted intervention isn't "heavy handed", and if you can't control/are unwilling to control crime in the nation's capital, then you are failing the nation. Democrats and Republicans have plenty of flaws. Cracking down on crime in DC ain't one of them.

The criminals have to be afraid of the consequences, since BLM they’ve been treated with kid gloves.
Posted on 8/12/25 at 6:16 pm to StansberryRules
You make it where criminals are terrified to go to jail and you’ll have crime numbers a fraction of what they are.
Basically stop coddling criminals.

So you create the problem then pretend we’re in the pre problem situation. Like everything else with you people it’s pure dishonesty.

For a while most areas of Manhattan basically met this test. The blueprint for achieving this is out there. And it’s not that complicated.

DAs need to prosecute….
No revolving doors for criminals
No zero bail for violent crime
Then feds won’t need to jump in
