FedEx multiple has just left my packages at the mailbox out by the road on multiple occasions. I've had far fewer issues with UPS.

Looks like FedEx driver training is consistent. Ours in BR is just as bad dropping packages and delivering to the wrong address.

Fed Ex may get worse now that Uncle Fred passed, like Herb Kellerer at Southwest, or Sam Walton at Walmart for that matter.

The big issue with FedEx is that some of its delivery network is based on a franchise system where local owners can purchase routes and they buy the trucks and hire the workers. It helps in a way with shielding FedEx some legal liability if a worker drives a truck into someone’s house as the driver isn’t a FedEx employee nor a truck owned by FedEx, but a third party LLC.

UPS on the other hand owns the trucks and hires its own drivers some of whom are members of the Teamsters Union.

Mom has been doing a lot of online shopping lately. FedEx has yet to get an order delivered on time and has delivered to the wrong address 2x in the last month. And by wrong address I mean not even in the same neighborhood that we live in.

At least UPS gets it here or next door and has never been a week or more late.

Amazon has us use UPS for returns too which tells me they prefer UPS over FedEx.

I typically ship about 25 packages a week and have been for 15 years or so. I dont care what anyone says and I have used them all. USPS in the end is the best to deal with as far as damaged packages goes. Im talking about smaller packages.

The only reason I use UPS is because some of my packages are very heavy and USPS is extremely expensive on heavy packages.

UPS. FedEx is so bad if a merchant doesn't offer an alternative, I buy elsewhere.

I haven't had any issues with either.

Our UPS driver is built like Devin White. I was unloading a smoker from my truck and he pulled up to deliver and helped me lift out the smoker. Really nice guy, always compliments my lawn.

They're both shite, but honest answer...FedEx usually drops my stuff off around 10am and UPS is around 9pm

Normally I don’t like unions, but UPS has a ton of union drivers that are actually really good at their job and go the extra mile. FedEx, USPS, Amazon Prime all employ people that are slightly above minimum wage, and they work like it

The FedEx driver in this instance is not a FedEx employee. He is either an independent contractor or is employed by one.

UPS driver is a company employee.

My dad tried owning a FedEx route in Lafayette back in the 90’s after getting laid off in the oilfield. It wasn't a pleasant experience. He was basically paying $15k a year to rent a job that paid $70k a year where he had to workn60 hours a week and had to constantly fix vehicles.

That video demonstrates exactly why I stopped purchasing from Chewy. Back to back deliveries dumped into the middle of the driveway was enough for me. Chewy did refund the purchase cost and included a coupon for the next purchase but after the second time I was done. I don't know anyone here in SE Ohio that's satisfied with FedEx service.

I know the OT hated on Unions but UPS divers have a Union whose contract has them paid well. They don’t let anyone be a UPS driver.

I'm a sneakerhead. Damn near every time a new pair gets shipped via FedEx, the box is cut open and taped back shatilly, or not even taped back at all.

The only thing that keeps them from stealing the shoes is the fact that I'm a size 15. frick FedEx.

Where I live both do a good job and I don't really have any problems with either of them. The USPS on the other hand, takes the cake on the WTF questions about their legitimacy as a courier of anything.
