Why is this board so glum despite practice observers saying the team looks improved?

Practice reports aren’t gospel, but when everyone who is a someone is saying the same thing- “team could surprise based on what I am seeing”- I think it is newsworthy

The glum you speak of is a distinct subset of bitches, falcons, clickbaiters and the mentally handicapped.

Because anyone with half a brain can see that our roster is currently a gigantic, flaming turd.

You really want me to spend the next two hours doing that? It’ll be much faster and easier if you list the amazing parts of our team.
You said I couldn’t be more wrong, so you’re implying that our roster is a Top 5 roster rather than a Bottom 5 one, right? That is a highly unpopular opinion in the sports world right now, so please provide your support for it. At least what I said is what most people across the country think of the Saints right now.

Well a good surprise for this team might be 6-7 wins.
Everyone is projecting us to be bottom of the nfl, Vegas has us at the bottom. Kellen Moore is a complete unknown and our roster doesn’t have the talent to compete in the playoffs even if one of our quarterbacks turns out being good. And that’s a huge long shot as well

Damn, those preseason rankings generally do not bode well for make a run at the playoffs. Hopefully the football committee does not put too much weight on those rankings when they put out their first poll in November

I’ve seen two separate publications that rate us as the least talented roster in the league. We are rebuilding and will be for a while. Hopefully the front office makes some wise choices from here on out.

Beyond the QB question marks, I think our defense is gonna have a tough year. No pass rush along with one of the worst secondaries.
Regardless, it will be fun to watch our new coach run the offense. The QB situation will be frustrating, but it’ll be entertaining. Seeing our young tackles play together should also be entertaining. (As much as you can be entertained by an oline).

man all you had to do was list the positional groups on the roster that are "flaming turds". And then you try to deflect into i'm arguing its a top 5 roster in the league.
