Summary

1) eu imports to America will be taxed at 15%?
2) eu to lower tariffs on American cars to 15%
3) eu promising to Purchase us autos

No link yet since it’s happening live.

I couldn’t give a shite about the “promises” eu have to djt about purchasing our shite

I’m just glad about the 15% certainty. Now businesses can decide to move forward

Untl America makes smaller cars there isn't going to be much of a dent in US cars sold in Europe. Same for Japan. Not ony do they prefer smaller cars but in many towns and villages US cars just don't fit.

Well they can’t really afford larger cars because they’re taxed at crazy rates and their middle class is poorer than the US. I know some also have progressive taxes on cars, like Denmark, which make in nearly impossible for anyone other than the wealthy to afford something other than a tiny beater.

Yeah, the promises to buy cars or beef or whatever are utterly pointless. But, like you, every agreement makes me feel better, as that means that there is less likelihood for idiocy going forward.

Maybe they will now that they can get into these markets.

Yep. Now just need to figure out if it will be a general tariff (column 1), or will it be a special tariff (column 2), so I know if I need to budget 15% if it's in column 1, or 25% if in column 2 since I already have a 10% tariff charge in column 1.

Unfortunately, cannot change my purchasing of this necessary widget since my only current options are 2 countries in Europe or 1 in Asia (that is a pain in the arse to work with). Possibility of Canada making this piece Q4 2025 or Q1 2026 and US in 2027.

F150 Ford truck has no to any parking places in Japan or Europe. The vehicle potion of deal doesn't make sense to me.

Take it one step further, they can't even afford air conditioning in the shitboxes they do buy. No way they'll buy bigger cars when they can barely afford their 55% taxes and carton per day cigarette habits

This could be a Harley Davidson moment, where you buy it b/c it is different.

(Note: I loathe Harleys (too loud), I ride a touring bike)

Futures up as expected.

Despite the way the last 3-4 months have been handled with the back and forth, Trump may come out smelling like roses.

Prices have not increased due to tariff back and forth, deals coming together, and stock market at record highs.

I wonder how many TDS inflicted people sold at the bottom and missed the run up to new highs? Got to be more than a few.

More importantly, how will the markets react in the morning?

I would expect a pretty decent day if nothing else happens.

I paid for a year of private school tuition and bought two brand new cars based on my TACO (Q2 -> Q3) trade. Thanks, Trump!
