People just get married less now. It's good in a way but it's really bad for birthrates.

There used to be a social stigma for unmarried people decades ago if they were over 30 years old. A lot of people felt pressure to be married when they didn’t want to be in the first place so eventually that led to divorce

Less people get married today because there is less social pressure but the ones that do actually want to and are more likely to make it

50 percent of marriages end in divorce. The other 50 percent end in murder.

It’s already started, but this thread will be full of people who don’t understand the concept of sample size.

What makes that graph crap is the sentence "By year of marriage."

Why?

Because a 18 year old's, 20 year old's, 30 year old's, 40 year old's, 50 year old's, 60 year old's, 70 year old's and 80 year old's could have all gotten married in the 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's and the 2010's...

Obvious fact - "more marriage means higher divorce rate"

Fewer people are getting married. Half of the rate of the 70's and 80's.
Those that are getting married are 100% into it vs that's just what couples do.

Or it could show how society as a whole viewed marriage and/or divorce…. But you aren’t smart enough to understand that
