Is Monty Python funny?

I know I've seen three of their movies & lots of clips of the show.
I just don't get it. It's not funny.
I grew up with everyone telling me how they are comedic geniuses but when I watch their stuff it just seems absolutely retarded.

Some bits are extremely funny, many are not. It’s very British, obviously, humor.

It isn't for everyone...i think it goes over many people's heads. Some need more low brow humor like dumb and dumber to be entertained.

Its British humor - its not funny to everyone and some of it is very specific to their culture.
