Last month we were in Metairie and tried Tower of Pizza. We are heading back to Metairie next month, and I wanted to try another pizza joint. We really liked Tower so want to try some more while we’re down. Any recs?

Think about Reginelli's... Decent variety and it won't kill your wallet...

Gendusa's in Kenner.
Gio's is good.
Theo's isn't bad.

This is objectively tough.

You may want to consider eating pizza somewhere else.

Or eating something else when you’re in Metairie.

This is where we went first, but they were closed the night we were down.

Stella’s

And in Kenner, try Brick Oven.

Il Supremo is without question the best but they have bizarre opening hours

I don't know if it was because I was starving or if it was just the best pizza I ever had...

Right around the corner from Gio's.

I think we’re going to try Il Supremo this time. They look really good. I appreciate all the recs. It’s crazy how much good pizza is around Metairie and Kenner without even getting into NO.

Nothing at Gebdusa has any flavor. The white sauce taste like pure butter. The red sauce is plain. The meatballs are huge but are just unflavored meat. It's a good place for old people who don't like seasoning.

Gendusa uses a shite load of garlic on everything to cover for lack of flavor

Il Supremo- Best in Metairie.
Gendusa- They load the topping on.
Theo's or Reginelli's for something more along the lines of a franchise style pizza.

Friend,

Il Supremo was recently named the best pizza in New Orleans this year.

Even more impressive, it was named the 23rd best pizza in America in the nation’s top pizza review series.

Meaux Jeaux is in the 3-4/10 range. You’re better off with Domino’s. Reginelli’s is also in that range. Theo’s is upper 5s to 6 on a good day, as is Gendusa’s. Il Supremo and Tower are the only pizzerias in Jefferson Parish worth a greater than five minute drive.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

Interesting. I think Tower is as good as any pizza I’ve ever had, not that I’m an expert. I didn’t realize Il Supremo was ranked nationally. I’m looking forward to it.

You’ll need to go online to place your order the day and time for pickup. Now. Unless things have settled down. For a while you couldn’t order same day or even day before. Meaux Jeaux on Transcontinental is good. So is Stella Pizzeria on Clearview on the lake side. Just depends where you will be. Gendusas if you are near Kenner. R&O’s out near lakefront has good pizza, too.
