I wonder if he claimed the homestead exception on his property taxes as well? I would assume so... Do whatever was necessary to avoid taxes.
People like Schitt do this and think its fine but complain about Trumps accountants and tax attorneys use the tax code to their advantage. Its exactly like when Hillary brought up Trump avoiding taxes and he said he did what was legal to avoid taxes. And then he said she could have worked to change it when she was a senator but didnt because all her friends and donors used those exact same exemptions.
