Why is everyone on the board trying to buy Ram 1500s?

And do they really want you to talk them out of it?

Probably because it’s actually the nicest interior full sized truck available, can buy them for the biggest discounts, but at the end of the day, it is still a Ram. It will depreciate faster & deeper than anything else, and it is actually hard to be proud of…

Because they are basically discounting them 25%. Link is to local Fl dealer. Insane discounts to start negotiating from.

Crazy discounts, and even crazier starting prices

Not necessarily, I guess you could be. I was actually referring to slaying poon of certain ethnic peoples, “it’s good, just not sure it’s something to be proud of”

I don’t necessarily want one. I’d buy another 5.7 Tundra today if they still made one. I don’t feel like changing out the tranny in a GMC at 85k miles. I legit don’t know what to get next.

I've been passively shopping any full size truck and I read this board a lot.

I'm amazed at people saying "love my XX ram. No issues until I lost XX part at XX miles. Got that fixed and it's been mostly smooth sailing."

Sorry, but if you're having to fix anything with less than 150,000 miles you played yourself.

Love my '24 f150/GMC/Ram. 71,000 miles and only maintenance is new transmission and complete top-end rebuild. And blend door of course.

I would buy a new Ram. They look good and I don’t worry so much about depreciation since I keep my vehicles a long time. My only hangup would be the unproven hurricane engine. Of course the insane prices of all trucks are a philosophical problem for me. Truck prices practically doubled between 2020 and 2022 and I just can’t forget that so easily.

Lol, I have a 2020 Tundra and would like to keep another 3-5 years at least. I'll probably end up in a 5.0 F150. My Tundra is a guzzler and I really don't care. It's just a good truck.
