What is this crap? 4 beat up cars tied together with shoe strings and bicycle reflectors.

Why doesn't ICE do something about this? Hell, if I was a cop, I'd just pull every one to ask for license and registration.

If one ever hits you, just forget about collecting insurance. Seems like something our resident LA Troopers would target on I-10 West.

Every time we pass one I like to say to my wife, “I’ll give you $20 if this guy isn’t Mexican.”

Never had to pay yet.

The signs explain it all, IN TOW bruh. One time we saw one that read IN TOWN. I was amused.

Makes me crazy how many cool old model Tacomas I have seen trucked out west like this. My favorite was a box truck with a Tacoma hanging out the back, towing another box truck with another tacoma AND an Alumacraft hanging out the back. To top off the hazzard, we are towing one more tacoma (packed full of shite) pulling a boat trailer(no boat) packed with more garbage. I don't particularly enjoy comfortable road trips, can't imagine driving that lead truck with no ac from one end of I-10 to the other.

I've seen a few of these back in the day on I-81 in Virginia. There's also the schoolbus variant, where a schoolbus full of crap tows another. Those come in convoys of 3 or 4 tow groups.

You figure they are easy targets but our Troopers rather run some hick down in a Dodge Dakota going 76.

Drove home to Louisiana from Georgia today. Saw 16 caravans today on our way back. Mostly 3 car caravans. Amazing how they don’t seem to ever get stopped by troopers.

I was wondering about this myself. This normally happens each year before Christmas. ICE needs to hit the caravans hard.

America is full of waste. They’re just taking out the trash, as best they can.

Where do you think junk cars end up without this?

If they are not breaking any laws, why would they stop them?

Thye aggravate me too butthis is still America and the police are supposed to have a reason to stop you other than just the way you look.

Most of them aren't Mexicans. Most are Guatemalan. They come in legally and buy junk cars at auction.

Why in the wold would a trooper choose to keep all of those people and junk cars in his state instead of just letting them drive on through? The state wouldn't get any money from them, and would just get stuck with the junk.

I’ve often wondered why we don’t pass laws to limit their ability to create the chaos they create. No vehicle towing more than one unless specifically permitted and driven by CDL and maybe even keeping them off of the interstate completely.

They are typically exceeding the towing capacity of the lead vehicle when towing a train of two additional vehicles.
