I’m late to his movies (liked, sometimes loved K&P) but I had today off and saw Get Out was on Max and saw decent reviews so gave it a go….felt like a Skeleton Key ripoff but was entertaining enough so watched Us next

What a retarded piece of shite that movie was, can’t think of 2 hours I want back more. Maybe I missed the whole point and someone can educate me but holy shite. 93% on RT? Wtf

As for Nope…I’ll never know. Was never inspired by the trailer but was hoping his first two movies would impress me enough to watch his third tonight…nope.

You think Us and Get Out was bad? Be really grateful you didn't watch Nope.

Keegan Michael Key was the funny one and the better actor. Jordan Peele is a good enough actor who understands how to set up a shot, but ultimately an idiot who flew too close to the sun.

Every movie he’s made has been dogshit. His movies are overrated because… well you know why.

Key far superior in talent and likeability.

I love Key & Peele the duo, but Peele lost me as more of a fan with the political and racial stuff and he's simply not as funny on his own. If he still put out a great movie then I would still watch it, but none of them look enjoyable to me.

The one that gets me is Get Out. That movie is not good at all and it doesn’t even know what it is or what it’s trying to say.

He’s the new M. Night in that Hollywood is seems to be trying like crazy to make him happen and give him the persona of a genius innovator.

Difference is M. Night actually made a few good to great original movies before the duds started.

OP described it perfectly- it’s a less entertaining version Skeleton Key.

I think Us was based on an old Twilight Zone episode where a woman in a train station kept having strange interactions because she had an evil doppleganger roaming around that she occasionally caught flashes of. TZ never really explained why that was happening (part of why some of those old TZ episodes are memorable) and Peele, who is a big Twillight Zone nerd, took the concept and ran with it all the way into a brick wall.

Get out was fricking dog shite that no one honestly reviewed out of fear of being labeled a racist. The whole racial message of the film is so overdone and exhausting.

I’ve heard Hollywood types say he’s the best director since Spielberg.

The pandering BS is so old

I thought his sketch comedy show with Keegan Michael-Key was mostly corny. Movie-wise, Get Out was decent but he's kind of a one trick pony.

I feel like M. Night is at least 50/50 on movies being good. I really like Sixth Sense, The Village, Signs, and Unbreakable. He is capable of some misses too though. I have tried 2 of Peeles movies and both were super horrible. There will not be a third.

Yes, peele is more like Mary Harron. She made American Pyscho and then a sea of shite.

He is a better actor, but Jordan is definitely the funnier one

I liked Get Out, all the rest were dogshit on a fundamental level

I have a far far left leaning cousin who absolutely loves his films. She thinks they are masterpieces.

Take that for what it is worth.

What’s crazy is that you hated Us but that’s the only good movie he’s made.
