The biggest question mark of the team this year.

The O line. I trust everything else. But breaking this fresh O line in against Clemson’s NFL D line… it has me nervous.

Most definitely OL.
OL talent AND OL Coaching.
Butter Kreme had to hire a TE coach to show the OL coach how to coach the running game and I don't know if the TE coach knows jack shite about coaching TE's.

You don't know jack shite about anything so there's that.

Where is this tired narrative coming from? RGC would show the OC how to call the running game, not the OL coach.

I still don’t understand why we didn’t take an OT or two in the portals

Thompson can play OG or OT, but most likely they liked what they had compared to transfer options or the top portal OTs outpaced their market value

The Head Coach
Elaborate. Questioning a guy that has been to multiple playoffs and had a team 5th with only 1 loss on the year the last time the playoffs were 4 teams.

You are so dumb.
A large number of blown-up running plays last season were due to poor run blocking by the tight ends, which allowed backside tackles, particularly on slower-developing running plays.

Because we have 5 star Weston Davis waiting in the wings behind Emory Jones at RT and 4 star Tyree Adams who’s going into year 3. Two super talented kids who are ready to play this team was aggressive in the portal their was a reason they weren’t as aggressive for OT they think both guys are ready. Their both talented high ceiling big time recruits you can’t keep them on the bench forever you gotta let them play

And if one of them get injured?

AND STARTING A GUY AT CENTER WHO NEVER STARTED. Then when they were finally meshing, had an injury to a 5th year senior guard that was helping with the inside push. 2 games later losing the other senior guard hence 7 sacks because of the new players at critical positions AND. A first time starter at QB.
Trend the end of the first half TAMU through the end of the season really. OU with any receivers probably win. Vandy had shot their wad by then.
The defense played better as the season progressed which allowed the offense more opportunities and not feel as pressured.
It is about the TEAM and the impact position groups can have on each other.

O line and secondary
Secondary should be significantly better but I want to see it first.

And last year it was supposed to be our biggest strength...

OL
ST
Secondary
i really hope we make strides in ST. i'm shocked at how bad ST have been under Kelly.
i'm cautiously optimistic about our retooled OL and secondary.

The “It” factor in Kelly and the way he coaches his teams has always been a question of mine about him. This goes all the way back to his time at Notre Dame.
Can he get players and the coaches to believe everything short of titles is a failure at LSU?
I need to see more Dog, and I don’t mean throwing players under the bus anymore.
Period.

Next man up. You think we were getting stud OTs to come in and be 2nd string? And paying them? Or do you think the stud lower class men were just gonna keep staying when we just keep getting upperclassmen from the portal to play over them? At some point, you’ve got to trust your high school evaluations, your development, and let them play. Having 4 starting caliber OTs AND having to pay for all 4 is not a great allocation of resources.
And we’ve got more than Thompson, Davis, and Tyree that can play OT. Some are physical freak underclassmen that may have been recruited as IL, but are athletic enough to kick out. And athletic enough to play early. There’s only so many resources to go around, and it appears to me that LSU did just about as good a job as any team in the country to spread those around as best as they could. Injuries at any position can derail any team. Got to have a bit of injury luck to make a championship run.
