Is $40,000 enough for 3 (full) days at Disney with 3 kids?

Depends if you want to actually go inside. If you do, I’d add 4 gold bars & some crypto.

Tickets are around 400-600 per person for 3 days of park hopper, meaning you can jump between parks

Resort prices average 150-350 a night between all-star to mid range level

Despite some recent videos or articles, 90% of restaurants are priced like a normal restaurant. Want an experience, pay for experience. Want fish and chips, pay for fish and chips. Plus you can still bring sandwiches and snacks into the park

Sarcasm was noted after I clicked reply, but leaving up information because, yes it will cost a few grand, but you don't have to spend 900 like one guy did on one meal

You can do that easily if you don’t do any character breakfast/dinners.

I think we spent around 8 for a whole week. Disney (w/ tickets to the Christmas party) and Universal. That estimate is on the high side, and that includes every single dime we spent from the time we pulled out of the driveway until we got back. 2 adults/ 2 kids and we weren't trying to pinch pennies at all.

Go to the Rockies or the Smokies and have a blast at a fraction of that.

Who the hell spends even a 1/4 of that? We’re planning to take our kids and budgeting conservatively for 8k

You could do it for an eighth if that easy. Or four times more. Choices are available.

I know this was sarcastic, but we plan $10k for our Disney trip for our family of 4. This includes airfare and staying on-prem.

That’ll be bare minimum enough to get you through the door, but not without any of the additional perks or upgrades.

As you are on your second hour waiting to ride mine train, be prepared to answer your kids when they ask why all the kids in the lightning lane seem to get on the ride way faster.

They don't let you bring food into the park but you can pack a lunch and leave it in an ice chest in the car. At lunchtime, find a picnic area, eat, and then go back to the park. Or you could eat, go back to the hotel for a swim and nap, and then return to the park.
