Start paying cooks and dishwashers better maybe you'll get legal employees

A lot of these progressive business owners simply cannot stand the idea of having to hire black people who are US citizens again. Restaurants or construction, doesn't matter. They'd have to pay them benefits again, no cash under the table to save money, they'd have t0 follow OSHA and labor laws, they can't surreptitiously hold their illegal status over their head when they need double shifts at the last minute or don't want their employees taking vacation time off during a busy money making season.

right as usual

President Trump acknowledged on Thursday that his immigration policies are hurting the farming and hotel industries, making a rare concession that his crackdown is having ripple effects on the American work force.

Mr. Trump, who has made mass deportation a centerpiece of his presidency, said on social media that “changes are coming.” And while there was no sign of any significant modification to his policies, Mr. Trump’s statements suggested the scale of his crackdown may be alienating industries he wants to keep in his corner.

“Our great Farmers and people in the Hotel and Leisure business have been stating that our very aggressive policy on immigration is taking very good, long time workers away from them, with those jobs being almost impossible to replace,” he said. Mr. Trump for decades has owned luxury hotels, an industry with a strong immigrant labor force.

He/she should be arrested for admitting to hiring illegals.

i’ve said this before, i’ll say it again

if the only way you can operate at a profit requires you to break decades-old black letter labor laws, then its time to reconsider your business model

Publicly confessing violations of federal law is a bold strategy.
