Are there any mom and pop stores left in Baton Rouge that sell TVs and accessories? 3 minutes on google was not promising. Figured I'd try to buy one local before I go give BestBuy my $$$.

I've bought my last 3 big screen HD TVs from them.

I went with my old man when we bought a Commodore 64 from there in 1984.
IIRC correctly it burned down a few years after that?

Just go to the Walmarks unless you have more money than brains.

Didn't go to The Computer Exchange located in that dude's garage?

Bought a 4k 85" Samsung at BJ's a couple of weeks ago for $800. Looks great. Had to re-watch Game of Thrones.

If you're a Costco member, check out their inventory. I've gotten my last 2 TV's from them and am quite satisfied with the price and quality.

Don’t discount BB. I got a great deal on a fridge floor model. There were all kinds of stuff there, box sale, returns, at good prices. Guess it depends on the store.

Sherwood TV & Appliance is still in business. Some TV inventory is shown online...mostly LG...call for prices. LINK
Big box chains practically sell TV's as loss leaders, and Sherwood's can't beat those discounted prices. Often, however, the deep discount TVs are special model runs that you might not like.
Another local option is pawn shops. Many shops carry some new merchandise.

Bought a 75” from WalMart for $448. Crazy how light and cheap TV’s are today.

I buy all of mine from the pawn shop. People that aren't good at managing money apparently like to spend it on TV's.
I started out buying my tailgate TV's from pawn shops but, after shopping there, I realized that they had current year models in like new condition.
No box, take off a hundred, no legs... take off another hundred. All of the stuff you typically throw out saves you money if the Unit is missing it. If you pay cash and catch them on a slow day, nothing reasonable will get refused.

I got an excellent condition "open box" 65" Bravia 8 from BestBuy last week for $400 off what it was listed for new. PLUS, I didn't have to deal with disposing of the box, lol. There is not a scratch on the TV, and it still comes with the manufacturer's warranty from when I purchased it.

You’re still buying a TV made in Korea.

I have bought a bunch of those ONN tvs from Walmart. Really nice for the price. Had a 75” at the camp that I paid $398 for. They do well outside too.
