Why are some countries allowed to have nukes, but Iran can’t?

Every other country that has nukes understands mutually assured destruction, and the vast majority of people don’t view their own demise as a prize to win.

Because the countries that do have them don’t trust Iran with one. And why would they? There government has repeatedly said they would commit genocide if given the opportunity.

Because world o er countries realized it’s a bad idea so nobody who doesn’t have em gets em. If Iran gets them than the Saudis get em.

It might be because they openly support terrorists and have been chanting death to America and death to Israel for 40+ years. Maybe it might have something to do with their stated goal of “wiping Israel off the map”.

You really can’t come up with one possible reason on that, even if you disagree with it? You can’t envision any problematic scenarios with certain countries having nuclear weapons? How about Somalia? Do you see any issues with Somalia having a nuclear arsenal? What about Yemen? How about Afghanistan? None of that gives you any pause? Iran falls into that particular group.
