Sounds like the perfect fit for the pelicans

Naturally the Pelicans will be the idiots to give up draft pucks and a good young player to move up for a guy who hasn’t even scored a point yet but seems to think he’s a star. Just stay at 7 and hope Kon falls to you. He might not have Bailey’s upside but he will be able to plug in and contribute immediately.

Doesn't show up? Zion and him will be quick friends

Will he slide to 7, though.

The only way this team is going to win is with elite talent. The only way we're getting elite talent is through the draft (yay socialism!). Kon is not an elite talent. Ace Bailey has the potential to be elite.
I don't think Ace will make it to 7, but if he did, you run to the podium with that card (or however they do it).

I still doubt it.

Yeah doubt he actually slides to 7 but I’d be ecstatic. He’s got his issues but he’s young, a wing, and has one of the highest upsides in the draft.
I just wouldn’t trade up for him unless it was moving up to 6 and just cost us a small asset

someone please explain his upside.
Is it b/c he's tall and shot a 3 pointer as a freshman in college?
he's not 6'10"
His combine height was 6'7.5"
He shot 34.5% from 3 in college.
He shot under 70% from the FT line.
He played on a team with a consensus top 2 pick and his team was trash for the most part.
He weighed in at 7 lbs heavier than BI did coming out of college, and BI was skinny as frick.
His comparison is Paul George and BI, yet he doesn't possess the scoring ability that BI does, nor the athleticism that PG does.
I"m not drafting him, i don't care if he falls to 7. He's got bust written all over him. I'd gladly look to trade with someone that wants to move up to take him at 7.

I just don't get trading BI and then drafting a guy who has the likely peak of BI

Idk that seems on brand for this organization

Well, someone just has to fit with Zion eventually.

Agreed.

This organization has had a ton of individually talented players in the last several years. The pieces and personalities never fit and they can’t stay healthy. Someone else made the comp, but a less skilled Brandon Ingram isn’t what this team needs.

I agree on everything you said, but...he does have greater potential than anyone you could get at 7. You're not getting top FAs here, so you gotta swing big

He literally just worked out with the 76ers and a few other teams. This is a bozo trying to tank his draft stock by shitty reporting.

Kinkead/update: we are now hearing, just like everybody else is hearing, that Bailey did not refuse to meet with the Sixers. That’s contrary to the ESPN report. Perhaps there was some confusion between Ace Bailey and Ace Frehley.

Former Rutgers star Ace Bailey has canceled a visit to the Philadelphia 76ers, sources told ESPN. Bailey, the No. 3 prospect on ESPN's big board, was slated to fly to Philadelphia, owners of the No. 3 pick in the draft, Friday, for dinner with the team's front office and a private workout, but elected to cancel on Wednesday, sources told ESPN.
