Watergate was child's play compared to the things we've been seeing lately.

Watergate was a coverup by the goverment uncovered by the media. Mentiagate was a coverup by the goverment and the media.

Watergate if it was done by a Democrat would have been boring but a side note in history.

Obama spying on Trump and the biden dementia issue are huge issues.

Watergate wouldn’t even make a full 24 hour news cycle in today’s world.

Interesting question. At this point, you have to say Watergate, because it led to a sitting president resigning and, arguably, Jimmy Carter.

But we are a long way from knowing how the Biden scandal will end and what the ramifications will be, which makes the question hard to answer.

The scandal is not so much Biden himself, but the people who covered up the situation and the media that was complicit in the attempted deception and the gaslighting of people who believed their own eyes. What will happen to them? Probably nothing criminally, but their loss of power and influence could be very significant. Might lead to 12 years of Republican political dominance.

A Watergate style surveillance operation on an opponent nowadays is accepted as SOP and not a big deal.

The Biden health and corruption scandal is certainly bigger than Watergate was in ‘72 and it’s likely to become the biggest threat to democracy we’ve ever seen.

Pretty ironic.

The two are completely different. Trying to compare them is just a parlor game…

Biden.

When you look at the totality of what went on around this hole last five years, it’s insane.

Releasing a virus, shutting down the economy, killing millions of people, propping up a puppet candidate, stealing an election, throwing thousands of people in jail for a “insurrection“, then pulling the shenanigans they did for four years with immigration and money laundering through USA, ID and NGO‘s and Ukraine.

It’s stunning.

And that doesn’t include all the Russia gate shite from 2016 era.

Biden will be the candidate in November. He remains competent, regardless of things like heavily edited videos from G7. He will exceed expectations in the debate, just as he did in the State of the Union address.
The real “rope a dope” will be pulled off by Biden himself, with an assist from his opponents’ constant attacks on his abilities.

At least we knew Tricky Dick was POTUS during Watergate. We have no f'ing idea who was POTUS from 2020 - 2024, the Librarian, or the morally contemptible Crack Head ?

I agree on the surface but sure it would.

In fact, it would occupy cable news 24/7 for weeks, until giving the Democrats enough time to demand Senate & Congressional hearings and someone(s) heads.

If they run stories of w/ Pete Hegseth & Matt Gaetz imminent firings/ arrests for weeks, this would be a goldmine to them.

Watergate is only bigger because the media found the cover up. With Biden you have them a part of the cover up. Watergate had no real implications accept getting caught.

Watergate when put in historical perspective, was a non-event. If that had happened today, it probably wouldn't even receive major coverage and Nixon sure as hell wouldn't have resigned over it. Every president since has probably done much worse.

The Biden coverup is one of, if not the, biggest political scandal in the history of the country. Think of the implications of an unelected group of insiders running the country: pardons, SCOTUS appointments, executive orders, etc, all illegitimate. Imagine if Trump et al challenges that and tries to roll all of that back? It will be a shite show.

On a list of Washington scandals and conspiracies over the last 100 years, watergate probably ranks around #164.

VOR believed in the deep fake Biden videos narrative.

One was covering up mental deterioration.

The other was covering up a break-in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters by political operatives.

It's not even close. Yes, Biden's sad state should have been disclosed, but it's not the first time that even happened in the White House.

The biggest issue with Biden's cover-up was the complicity of the media. Yes, it's just them doing what they normally do (Hunter Biden's laptop, etc, etc) but it seems an order of magnitude worse.

Yes, a few lone voices said things here or there, but by and large it was ignored.

And how many times did we see articles calling for Trump to be removed via the 25th amendment?

So government scandal? Watergate is worse.
Media failure/scandal? Biden's health is worse.

Of all the ridiculously stupid narratives I've heard in my lifetime, this one is head and shoulders above the others. Imagine believing that a guy who has been a public figure for half a century is a Russian agent. You have to be a unique combination of insane and retarded to believe this.
