Why isn't DFW expanding much to the south

DFW continues to grow like crazy but much of that growth is northward (east and west is growing too but not as fast). There hasn't been much southward expansion even though the smaller cities in between Dallas and Austin (Waco, Temple) are growing. How come?

Dfw is bigger than some states. What more do you want?

Does DFW mean some type of DILF?

Land is cheap towards Oklahoma

Well, part of it is that the nice parts of Dallas just kept going north into suburbia.
South Dallas is ghetto so you would have to go through the ghetto to get there.
Now, having said that those towns are getting much larger. Midlothian, Waxahachie, and other towns are getting much bigger.

Because south Dallas is the freaking hood and no one got time for that.

Maybe you should be explore south of I-20 and report back.

Same reason Baton Rouge is expanding south and east and not north.

I’m guessing the top of you list would include cities that don’t enforce drug laws and/or don’t allow criminal background checks

No one wants to live in Waxahachie…

Wilmer is exploding....with warehousing. Farmers are being pushed out for it.

That’s Jasmine’s area down south

Because they want to be Oklahoma so bad so they keep inching as close as possible.

Real estate is all about getting as far away from those people as possible without having an hour commute.
North it is.
North it is.

I think most cities seem to expand inexplicably unevenly, as far as geography goes.
Birmingham is growing more southward, Atlanta northward. And even Tuscaloosa is growing northward.
Montgomery is eastward.
And yes, the reason is not geography.
