Not much improvement from 21 wins.

Don’t tell me Zion will play the vast majority of season because last 5 years he hasn’t done it.

Pelicans will likely be in contention for the 7th and 8th seed. Assuming they don't have similar injuries like this year

For many teams you can consider that an anomaly but with this organization that’s a bold assumption

Every off season we say we should be in contention for the 7th or 8th seed and guess what. I’ve seen this movie too many times before.

He’s been in the NBA 6 seasons

This is his 7th upcoming

He’s played 214 games in 6 seasons, an average of 35.6 games a year.

No way he plays anywhere near that many games in Year 7.

Tanking doesn’t work when the lottery is rigged.

28 wins seems about right.

We will do better than 21 wins if most of the team other than Murray and Zion is healthy.

I’m thinking closer to 30-35 wins, possibly more if Zion keeps his fat arse on the court or we will pull off a trade to bring in more talent.

Willie is finally free to create a lucid, well-planned offensive scheme without having to account for the basketball black hole that was Brandon Ingram.

4th seed

This is a ridiculous thread.

The roster will undergo a major overhaul. A better question is: guess how many of the 12 guys under contract will be on the roster for opening day:

Zion
CJ
Herb
Trey
Dejounte
Olynyk
Missi
Jose
Hawk
Elfrid
Boston
Reeves
Matkovic

I bet at least half of those guys are moved.

You all have got to quit it for sure, lottery wasn't rigged when Pels jumped to get AD and Zion. Lottery is designed to not reward tanking (Look at the Utah franchise). NBA is taking back the game from the internet fanboys and highlight junkies, the incentive for every team and every fanbase is to win with two way players and team play, not the super-teams and 60 plus 3 point chucking.

Pels best move is to get as many picks as possible (trade Zion) and build a cost-controlled winner through smart drafting/trades and player development. As for their record next year, Pels will be better and win 30 or so games, regardless if Zion is here or not, they are in a the best division in the best conference and doubt if they'll jump SA, Dallas, Memphis or Houston. There will be a lot of mid teams that think Zion will be the piece to get them into the upper tier of NBA teams. Nice young player and a couple of picks to go along with their own and Milwaukee picks can set them up for a nice run.
