Baker, the star of the movie "Walking Tall" playing Sheriff Bufford Pusser died on May 7th and I just saw this today on my home page.

He had several other roles in his movie career, but he's most recognized for playing Pusser, the reform sheriff in Tennessee.

Well done, sir. IIRC, this was Joel's final episode and Mike's first in charge.

Also, this will never not be my favorite scene:

he was also the police chief in Fletch and 1 of the Inmates in cool hand Luke.

I always got him confused with Fred Thompson

He wasn’t actually Felix he was another CIA contact. But to your point he was a good addition to Goldeneye. And oddly he played a villain in the living Daylights just a handful of years before.

Mitchell might be the goat episode of MST3K. Joel made sure he went out in a blaze of glory.

Fred would play the part of a powerful federal bureaucrat (later for real) or military commander, while JDB played the folksy county sheriff or sketchy PI.

The antagonist in Congo who only cared about the priceless diamonds and not his son's life. Laura Linney showed him.

For some reason I've always seen him as that generation's Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

Round face, tends to show up in both bit parts and big roles.

Baker was not near the actor PSH was. Hoffman had WAY more starring roles in movies than Baker probably had in bit parts and starring roles.

Also, Baker didn't have a bad heroin addiction, or he wouldn't have lived to be 89.
