Starbucks baristas on strike to protest new dress code

Over 1,000 Starbucks employs on strike because the company is enforcing a dress code for employees. The new dress code is jeans or khakis and a black tshirt. Can someone please tell this generation that most jobs have some sort of dress code, and at some point they will have to follow rules to stay employed?

Hire new people then.

These people are idiots. They work at a fricking coffee shop.

Young people are convinced their "voices matter" which is total bullshite. All anyone wants is to pay for anything cup of coffee or a latte. No one wants to see you express yourself when they just want a simple transaction.
Im fricking tired of everyone celebrating weirdness as if it's some kind of badge of honor.

Pouring coffee is such a complicated skill set.

Starbucks has 361,000 employees.
If 0.0028% of them have an issue, then that seems about right. Am I also to assume that these 1,000 are in union stores?

Grabbed Starbucks regular old black coffee since it was right next to my hotel. The hotel coffee was 10x better than that shite.
If white women didn't love their fruity mcfatass sugar drinks they would be out of business.

This thread inspired me to search the Starbucks subreddit because I thought surely these people cannot be this insane over jeans and a shirt dress code.
If what they're posting is true (and it very possibly may not be because Redditors are usually lunatics), it sounds like it's not the jeans/black shirt thing they're upset about.
They're claiming to get in trouble now over shoes, pants length, socks, etc. that were always fine before.
Who knows
Like someone else said, they work at a fricking coffee shop. Switch to McDonalds if you're that pressed.

Bunch of fricking losers.
I mean , how lazy do you have to be to not wanna dress in just simple khakis/jeans and a black shirt? I mean Jesus Christ it's simple respect.
Fire all of them.

What if every Starbucks coffee pourer went on strike and nobody showed up to notice?

Stop paying $8 for a cup and they go away entirely.

from the article it says the employees on strike are from thr 570 of 10000 stores that are unionized. The reason they are striking is "because this shoul d be part of the collective bargaining agreement to decide what clothing they can wear" sounds like the union bosses want want a kickback for the "change"

Proud to say I have never stepped foot in a Starbuck's.
That said, just fire these fricks and replace them with people who actually want to work.

I actually enjoy seeing what they are wearing to reinforce my normalcy

What a tough looking bunch. They demand your respect.
NBC video-Union spokesperson says they can't afford new wardrobe And they want a living wage.
I thought black tees were all anyone under 30 wears anyway.
