Haener will not cut it and Rattler looks like a long process at best.

Is carson wentz a slight possibility as a veteran?

Only vet FA they should consider is anyone that is familiar with Moore's offense to help with the young guys and to step in during the games if whoever the starter ends up being gets dinged up.

They should not be going out trying to find a vet that expects to challenge for the starting role. You have a QB room full of guys on cheap contracts Haener (2 years), Rattler (3 years) & Shough (4 years)

Carson is a head case, not someone you want teaching young QB's

Not a lot of point to getting one imo unless only one of our young guys looks OK. If they're truly competing then just let the loser be the backup.

Only reason to bring in a vet is for presence in the film room and help tutor the young QBs. Only free agent I’d really look at is Bridgewater on a one year deal. Maybe Beathard. Don’t want Wentzz

No need for a veteran. We got Shuck Dawg. He’s veteran enough

I hope they just roll with Shuck. Trial by fire so we know what we’ve got going into the next draft. I get the “we need a more seasoned QB in the film room” angle, but there are 3-4 QBs on the coaching staff already. Hell, Moore isn’t that much older than Shuck.

Let’s see if he’s The Dude or fail bigly.

Bringing in a shitty retread serves no purpose. We drafted a guy in the second round who is 26 and have Rattler.

Use the year to see what you have and then move on if no promise is shown.

The Saint do not need a "Top" FA QB.

Even if one was still available.

If anything they need a veteran to come in and mentor Shough and Rattler and be there in case one goes down for a significant amount of time.

Bringing in a QB that you expect to compete with the two young QBs we have or even start is about the most ignorant thing this team could do.

With Carr gone, the Saints are now the worst team in the NFL

Time to tank and get the QB they want in 2026

Aaron Rodgers
Carson Wentz
Teddy Bridgewater
C.J. Beathard
Tyler Huntley
Jeff Driskel
Desmond Ridder
Jake Fromm

Don't know who would fit in the best to mentor a young QB room.
