We took a conversion van to the LSU vs Florida Game in Gainesville. We stopped at the Dog Track in Theodore Daws Alabama. Everybody in the van won money betting on the dogs. By the time we got to Gainesville, only 1/2 of the van had money, cause the other half had lost it in the poker game. Later on we went to a bar and the Pot Folse Family Band from Houma was playing there and we got into a fight with the Florida Gumps. The drummer from the band was throwing us drumsticks, so we could thump the gumps on the head. Always good times on roadtrips to see the Tigers.

I get my pot to a rolling boil with seasoning, then add about 10 lbs of shrimp. When they float, shut the pot off and add 1/2 a bag of ice. Let them soak for 5 minutes, then pull them out. Make sure to spread them out to keep from cooking. I have several plastic tubs I use. They peel easy every time.

I talked to a crawfish farmer on Sunday. He said that he is getting $2.50 per pound. But immediately, the wholesaler is selling the crawfish for $4.00 per pound. And then if you go out and get some at a restaurant, they charge up to $9.00 per pound.
