But I don't think the powers will allow this to pass. They spent decades trying to give themselves that power, only to push it through during peak 9/11 fervor. The frick he would. Massie has some imperfections that can be fairly pointed out, but being pro surveillance state isn't one of them.

It was hubris that caused 9/11. That “wall” was arbitrary and could have been breached but for hubris.
You don’t need the Patriot Act to prevent another 9/11.
