Shores was dealing

Shores doesn't miss many bats even with his 99 MPH fastball. Laviolette hadn't hit our lefties at all all weekend. It was 100% the right move to go to Ware and it worked.

I really thought CJJ handled the pitching changes perfectly in game three. We were set up to win the game in the 8th and we turned it over to our best reliever who has been nails all year. He just didn't have his best outing and made a mistake to a hot hitter.

This is another hindsight is 20/20 dumb post.

The lefty thing had worked to get Laviolette out with some ugly swings from him so why wouldn't we keep trying it?

Before yesterday's game, and based on performances this year, if I told you needed 4 outs to win would you have chosen Shores or Cowan?

Everyone who has watched this team this year would have chosen Cowan. If you say otherwise your probably full of shite.

We had the guy we wanted on the mound in the situation we wanted him in and unfortunately one pitch got hit. That's literally just how baseball goes sometimes.

Pitching was fine

2 weak hits found grass and a future top 10 pick crushed what I thought was a well placed fastball. It happens

Again, the board is questioning pitching… they more than did their job. The offense has been absolutely awful on the road.

Absolutely did, but even still… 7 runs in 3 games isn’t going to cut it. Pitching gave up 10 runs all weekend.

You should win those series all day in college if you’re getting those pitching numbers.

CJJ handled it correctly, sometimes the right moves don't work in baseball.

I think Jay made good pitching changes. The situation played out perfectly for preserving the lead with Cowan. It just boiled down to a rare bad outing from him and that was the game. He was due to have a subpar performance at some point. Would rather it happen now than in postseason.

i tried to think of what everyone would come up with to blame that game on jj but I couldn't really come up with anything
