Old Fashioned words

My parents grew up in rural Missouri in the 1940's and 50's but to this day use terms I don't hear in the south.
For example:
Sofa= Divan
Sink= Zinc
Dinner=Supper
Soda="Sodie-Pop"
Tennis shoes=Ground Grippers
What are some words that your family uses that are outside the common vernacular?

I’m not sure I’ve ever heard anyone say any of those aside from supper.
my mom always said garbage disposal like dispose-all. Not really an old word, but something people would pick up on when I moved on to college and would say it the same way

My grandmother was from Oregon; her father and mother originated from Ohio. I can remember her saying "davenport" for a couch, "coach" for a bus, and "soda" for a coke. She was born in 1926.

Grandparents from Indiana used a litany of choice words to describe a certain race, none of which I can mention here.
