I finally made the decision to get rid of YouTubeTV this month.

I signed up when the monthly rate was $49.99 and now my bill is over $95. I plan on getting a roof mounted antenna, but this won't help me during college football season. What is the cheapest way to watch college football come August? The cheapest way I thought of is to sign up for Disney+ to gain access to ESPN+. Is this the cheapest route or are there other ways out there that I'm possibly unaware of?

That won't get you games that are shown on the SEC network, you have to have a provider login to stream SEC and SEC+ games.

Maybe consider FUBO? Or Sling?

Sling Orange with Sports add on. Need to make sure the add on includes SEC Network and SEC +.

We have ESPN + plus but only use it if LSU isn’t streaming on SEC+. Rarely.

Sling and add ons.

You can:
1. Split cost with family.
2. Only pay for it during football season.
3. Reference the top thread on this board for cheap TV.

YTTV and share it with family/friends to split the cost. By far the cheapest and easiest way.

There is plenty of college football on Saturdays on the major networks that you can pick up with an antenna.

And considering the direction of the current college football product, it's easy to rationalize any cheaper option and if you miss a game, no big deal.

ESPN is supposed to have their new streaming service this fall. It will supposedly encompass all of their network offerings. Wont cover everything obviously, but a good chunk.

ESPN+ does not include regular ESPN, ESPN2, etc.

It is a separate product that carries mostly lower interest stuff like small conference sports. The name confuses many people.

If you want to stream ESPN, you’ll need to log in with credentials from your cable/satellite provider (like YouTube TV). Or pray the standalone ESPN streaming package actually comes into existence in the fall. Their last attempt to do that shite down before it started. And don’t expect it to be cheap.

DIRECTV stream just came out with genre packs last month

They have a my sports pack that is $69.99. It has all the ESPN’s., Fox(FS1/2), nfl and red zone, mlb and nhl, golf, ACC, B1G, plus news channels and Disney plus is included.

For locals, all it says is certain markets but if you have an antenna that will be fine

For the people saying share YouTubeTV with friends or family, how do you get around the IP address tracker?

YTTV is perfectly ok with sharing. They encourage sharing with family to split costs. As long as who you share with lives in same zip code, there are zero hoops to jump through. If they live in different zip code, there is a small hoop every 90 days

No tracker. Standard plan is 3 streams. Streams away from home subject to check in every 90 days. 4K plan is unlimited streams at home plus 3 streams away from home. Same check in. Home VPN solves this. Probable available on your router. Bonus ppl away from home get their own local channels.
