Nicky Katt article
Way too young at 54. No word on cause.
His scene in "Dazed & Confused" was fantastic. He was always good when I happened to catch him in something.

I just rewatched The Limey like 6 months ago and he's really good on that and I have always liked The Way of the Gun.
He's also in the worst part of The Dark Knight where he rides next to Gordon in the SWAT van while The Joker is attacking it to get Harvey Dent. He's just there for reactions like "Oh this is not good!"

He was good in Boiler Room and The Babysitter, a trashy movie with Alicia Silverstone from the mid 90s about how a hot young chick can drive dudes of all ages crazy.

Great actor. Hated him in a time to kill

Yeah, I’ll always associate him with Boiler Room first, and then Dazed and Confused.
May he rest in peace.

Katt was solid. His small part in “The Limey” was hilarious…

He really was a good actor.
I had no idea this was the same guy:
Dude went from Texas redneck to NY Jew with ease.
Was this him in Strange Days (1995)?
TV Guide
It came up in a Google search for "Nicky Katt: Joey Corto Strange Days".

He was everywhere in 90s and 2000s films. His acting versatility was insane. I always wondered why he completely disappeared from the spotlight 10-15 years ago. I guess the types of films he did had all phased out by that time which is why he retired quickly.

Last two things I remember him in IIRC were Sin City and Planet Terror because he was one of Robert Rodriguez’s guys.
I didn’t realize he was the guy in the truck with Gordon during the Lower Wacker Dr chase scene in Dark Knight.

Great in Boston Public, a show which has kind of disappeared

Only came here to do two things, kick some arse and drink some beer. Looks like I’m almost out of beer

He was also in both Batman & Robin and The Dark Knight - probably the only actor to appear in both the Schumacher and Nolan films.

He was also a bully on an episode of Friends.

Sad
RIP
Ironically, he reminded me of a punk that I had to fight just about every other day in grammar school.

Hung himself after the rent was due. 2018 was his last credit.

Sounds like suicide
Adam Carolla stated the same on his podcast, apparently they were friends. He had nothing but great things to say about the guy and said he had fallen on some hard times, obviously.
