So in central Texas egg prices are $3.98/dozen…about $1.25 per dozen more than their normal prices from a couple years ago. Took my dad to breakfast the other day and a local breakfast place had a sign that said all egg plates were an additional $3. I couldn’t care less but to frick the customer that much over .10 per egg is flat out screwing the public for no reason. I actually overheard someone complaining to a manager about the unnecessary gouge.

Eh, the time you took to make this post definitely states otherwise.

I'm sure the egg producers are scrambling to find a way to bring down prices.

No need to worry over easy problems to fix brother.

Maybe make your dad breakfast at home next time? He would be so proud that you’re a grownup able to cook an egg.

You people love the victimhood mentality.

If you don't like the prices, don't get that item or even shop elsewhere.

Yeah. Instead, go to the competitor that's been poaching.

Low and medium tier restaurants are shite now.
( except Chick-fil-A and WH)

Crappy ingredients and worse service...

You mean I could actually walk out and go somewhere else? Wow, thanks for pointing that out. I just think its typical of the country to take advantage of a situation that isn’t there. Now, in some areas it’s $10/dozen then fair enough, but .10 an egg??? K

Ignoring the pun for a second....

I'm sure the egg producers are scrambling to find a way to bring down prices.

We now import eggs from other countries, Turkey being one of them.

quote:

On Tuesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins acknowledged that the United States is importing eggs to address the shortage....

We now have tariffs on everything, including agricultural products......including eggs.

....and some of that will be impacted by tariffs

I paid $5.49 for a dozen last week.

I would be willing to bet that egg producers are not making any more than they made before the “great egg crisis”. Typically, supplu\y chain and retailers are where inflation strike.

I was making a silly pun, y'all.

In other news, internet user 214 will be having b-fast for lunch.

3 eggs over medium
3 slices of bacon
hash browns extra cripy
tabasco sauce and a dash of pepper
Irish coffee

Did you pay it? If not, why are you bitching? At least they told you in advance.
