This Nintendo Direct was disasterous for Nintendo and a bad omen on things to come

Absolute trash of a direct today. Who is buying all these JRPG remasters? A fricking calendar? Are you kidding me?
Moving forward, the switch 2 is looking like another Wii U debacle for Nintendo. Same name, same basic console. When kids ask their parents for switch 2 they're going to say you have switch at home.

What exactly do they need to learn?
Nintendo hasn’t been, and doesn’t need to be, a direct competitor to Sony and Microsoft. They have their IP and that’s all their fans care about. They don’t want to tap into the “CoD” market. They don’t need to.

Seriously. Maybe post this after next week's announcement if it stinks. I figured this was all the filler minus metroid prime 4.
For what it's worth, I haven't bought a Nintendo system since the gamecube but I'll be buying a switch 2 on day 1. I can't believe I missed the switch era. I love it whenever I visit family.

The games announced yesterday were crap. Not all JRPGs though.
There are big DQ fans. The remake of DQ games / both are now listed for $60 preordering on Amazon. I seriously doubt these games are worth this and I am a DQ lover. $30 dollars per game isn't bad but you are forced both.
The releases on Switch2 will be Zelda and DQ12--so this alone is worth it. I am not as bitter as you because they now have the ability to move games between Switch1 and Switch2, and let family borrow.

It really is an odd melt. Zelda BOTW 2 on Switch2 looks beyond amazing. There were leaks of this happening and it will be the GOAT.

I'm also very interested in how BOTW 2 would work considering TOTK was basically BOTW2. I don't know how you put the toothpaste back in the tube with Zonai items not being in the new game.

Hacked my launch day switch, been playing the backlog for the last few weeks.
There are some incredibly mediocre games on switch that people have rated super highly. I feel like there's a nintendo cult that just hands out 10's because they have nothing else to play. I'm so glad i didn't waste a grand on this crap.

I van agree with this argument. That being said I will shell out $500 on day one for the 3 or 4 games that do matter to me over the next two or three years.
Mario Kart
A BotW/TotK style Zelda game.
Maybe a new Kirby one day
Etc.
