It's actually how they make most of their money. It's like going to the movies. They make 80% of their profits off the over priced cokes and popcorn, not the selling of tickets. But....Trump is making another promise kept.

and people bitch about gas prices. when you comapre the price of gas vs the price of everything else in the last 20 years we are getting a bargain on gasoline

I know they're cheaper... but I used to read DHEC inspection reports for fun and the idea of scum in the fountains or ice dispensers is gross and all too common a citation for me to ever get a fountain drink anywhere but Chick-Fil-A. And only that one place as I had family that worked there for awhile and those restaurants are meticulous.

it's been pretty comparable for as long as i can remember. gas was about a dollar when i was in high school and so were 20oz drinks. doesnt seem all that mind boggling to me.

I have been flabbergasted about the price of bottled water compared to price of gasoline for 25 years when the bottle water craze started and water fountains disappeared.

At least the gas station price is consistent.
