Disconnect humidifier for travel, no water. (This is more compact and less trouble)
US Army, use them to actually protect our borders, free up ICE to do the roundups and deportations.
Iceman used to visit every household daily went away with refrigeration.
Milkman used to come by once a week - that job went away,
Entire office secretarial offices went away as computers took over typing letters, scheduling appointments and generally pushing “paper around.
The USPS is no longer needed because of e-mail and packages are more efficiently moved by private parties.
Car engines used to be replaced every 60,000 miles in “motor exchange shops” that were located in every city.
The point is that improvements are good and people adapt to find other ways to be productive members of society as long as we don’t hinder their transition with wasteful government programs that make conditions worse.

re: What wattage is your microwave
Posted by Lofaso on 2/16/25 at 8:31 pm to Turnblad85
If you are trying to run appliance on generator power, you will need a generator rated for 2 times the wattage of the appliance to be able to handle the start-up surge. I use a 900 watt microwave for tailgating that does not trip my 2000 watt generator.

CO2 will be separated from your water supply by over 1 mile of rock, it is safe. Even if it could seep up to the water table you will end up with carbonated water on tap.
re: If you're going to allow early voting why not just keep it open until election day?
Posted by Lofaso on 11/4/24 at 9:06 am to sidewalkside
Early voting is in centralized locations, it takes time to update the precinct logs to indicate who has already voted (absentee and early).

In Louisiana, water heater is in the attic that for 9 months/year is above 110 degrees. Water heaters in Louisiana are not much of an energy hog.

Bad luck with Safelite (overpriced and did not warranty their work, cracked when pulled out driveway, went around the block back into their parking lot and they would not honor warranty)
