People will say this is an overpay but he’s a beast and with the dramatic increase in salary cap in back-to-back years you will be seeing a lot of these “Highest paid ____ in NFL history” stories. It’s just the market adjusting for the cap.

Also, the Raiders are not going to be spending much money on the QB position for the next few years. They're going to either draft a QB or sign a stopgap veteran who'll be cheap. Might as well use that salary cap space to keep your franchise player happy.
