Lonald Weiler-Sledge just resigned on-air, calls Public Radio Seattle "fascist enablers"

Lonald Weiler-Sledge was brought on as a guest this morning on Cafe Progress, and he was super pissed off that Public Radio Seattle aired Trump's address to congress last night live, saying that it was extremely irresponsible to broadcast his Hitlerian rhetoric to all of the Puget Sound. He said that it would be the same as broadcasting Hitler's Nazi rally speeches if PRS existed in 1939.
He said that he can not in good faith continue to work for a radio station that is so irresponsible to enable Trump's outright fascism, calling it a pseudo-endorsement and screamed that he quit right on air.
Lethuel Kirkegaard was taken aback and cut to commercial as he was at a loss of words.
This is a crossroads moment IMO for Public Radio Seattle. The leadership of this station are all old boomer liberal types, and I am worried that they are losing the younger generation who wants more edge and no holds barred commentary. I felt that bringing on J'Connor Mickens and Lonathan Oscarson was a good move to help reel in that younger demo but too little too late if Lonald Weiler-Sledge is out. Grover R. Knoten is in a bind here since he took over from Frank Matthews-Lester after retirement.

It's going to be difficult for the network to survive IMO.

I still can’t believe these are actual real people.

What's with the weird names with hyphens in them? Did they bend over and take their wives names>?

easy solution....defund public radio/television..... we are no longer in the 40s/50s where we dont have alot of options. there are plenty of choices out there,,,,,

Oh no!
Anyway, calling people fascist enablers while advocating for silencing those with opposing views is pretty funny.

I don't know... wasn't it an old poster here, Fox Mulder, I think, that had some silly Kleibo __ (insert similarly unusual last name) character that he publicly used to mock people?

Did he quit or have another heart attack? That free-range soy he uses for his lattes is high in cholesterol.

What's wrong with these people?
It's like the plot from Kingsman where people lose their absolute minds.

Fight the power, Lonald. Fight the power.
But first find out why your parents named you Lonald.

The local Wiccan bakery--Anti-Racist Witches Baking Against Patriarchy -- has also pulled its sponsorship. Losing their $250/ year in sponsorship revenue is a big blow to the station, plus the proceeds of their annual "Trans Women are Women Baked Goods with Nuts Bake Sale."
PRS really needs to disavow Trump and Musk sooner rather than later.

Public Radio Seattle MENU Lonald Weiler-Sledge When it comes to destroying the right, there is no better way to do so than with the force of a sledgehammer. That is the kind of hard hitting destruction that Lonald Weiler-Sledge has given conservatives, bigots, racists, homophobes, Republicans, and more since joining Public Radio Seattle in 1999. Weiler-Sledge, born Lonald Weiler, married his wife Corrine Sledge in 2001. He hyphenated his last name not just as a sign of equality with his wife and to showcase his feminism, but to give a new name to his show: “Sledgehammering the Right”.
We are still winning…
Edit - holy crap, this guy…

Want to know how you can tell Trump isn't a fascist or a nazi?
Because Democratic leadership doesn't believe it.
Hear me out. In order to believe that Trump is a Nazi who wants to destroy the nation and the Constitution, you have to accept that the Democratic Party, in the most critical election of their lifetimes, with more at stake than any other election in the last 50 years, the future of our nation, the republic, the Constitution, and our very way of life...all of that hanging in the balance...they turned to the one person who had the best chance to defeat Trump and save America...
Kamala Harris.
If the Democratic power machine truly believed that Trump was a Nazi/fascist hell bent on destroying America, they sure as shite wouldn't have pinned their hopes on Kamala Harris. If they truly believed all that shite, they would have made an effort to pick the best candidate they could find.
