You would think our resident congressional bartender would be well versed in our labor laws on wages in tip jobs.

Good talk, now get us a round

Just when I think she can’t get any more stupid she goes and proves me wrong.

The only thing I can think of this being a possibility is college football coaches getting “tips” from the boosters. Alabama would do it first. 120k a year from the university, 10.6 million in tips from boosters.

I’m sure her old friends in the bar industry appreciate her stance.

I mean it is ludicrous to think all jobs will become tip based to avoid taxes, but if you are stupid enough to think people will abuse this system m, which is utterly stupid to begin with, then you truly are a MAGA idiot.
Absolutely no reason for groups like service workers to not have to pay taxes on 90% of their wages. Why not simply end the tipping bullshite and give people legit wages?

TDS in fully glory.
If Trump said don’t jump off a cliff, they would jump off a cliff.
That’s why it’s easy for him to manipulate a situation.

Trump is amazing at taking an issue and making the dems go full retard over and over.
Tip type jobs were mostly populated by Dems like AOC. Trump proposes helping them and the Dems are now against it because TDS

It makes absolute sense. How can anyone argue with that? If a simple law, without exceptions, passed, which made tips untaxable, then most private sector job would be restructured to include tips.
You buy a car; the dealer adds mandatory tips for the salesman, secretary, mechanic, car prep team, etc. You pay an architect for house plans; he includes tips for the draftsmen and secretary.
Of course, they would not pass a simple law. They would limit it to certain industries and certain jobs.

That would certainly improve wait times

This is what eventually will happen. An hvac guy shows up and charges $30 for a service call with a $100 tip added. Or $150 with no tip.
No tax on tips is silly. It's taxable income.
