Lost a bunch of weight and lost track of time and need a black suit in a week and a half. Nothing fancy is needed. It’s been a long time since I bought a suit.

Not looking for perils but not looking for k and g warehouse either.

Where should I go?

There's almost no situation where this is the correct answer

Go to Macy’s. If they can’t have it altered in time take it somewhere that can.

Congratulations, Have Fun and I'm glad you aren't about to off anyone!

My husband used some online thing he doesn’t recommend, my son used Men's Warehouse and it worked well. Not in your area though, so prolly no help to you.

Brooks Brothers or Dillard’s. They both offer alterations for off-the-rack

I had no idea they sold suits. I’ve rented a few tuxedos there over the years but it has been a while. Was happy with their service

Bought my last suit there. Took about 5 minutes to pick one out and to get my size. They know what they're doing.

Unless you have a catering gig I would suggest you find the darkest grey you can find- or a deep charcoal or navy blue. Black suits never make anyone look good except for a formal tuxedo. No way to sound non harsh with the advice but it's the truth. Feel free to disregard.

Men’s Warehouse isn’t that bad. A nice blue or gray suit with the right fit, nice tie, watch, shoes and you’re good to go.

JCPenney - J. Ferrar or Stafford
Macy's - Alfani/Bar III/Tommy Hilfiger

Black suits don't show a whole lot of detai compared to lighter colored suits. Macy's will have better options. JCPenney options I listed were budget suits but will have a similar fit to the others mentioned.

If you need it quickly I would go to these places as they will all run sales frequently and always have availability for most sizes.

The answer, like most things in life- is Costco, or Costco . Com…. Seriously , i saw a decent black suit , Kenneth Cole i think , on the Costco site not long ago, they sell the pants and jackets separately , i think it was like $120 altogether .. Kenny Cole isn’t Armani or anything , but for that price and with Costco’s return policy, it’s not bad .

Go to Dillards.

Hart Shafner Marx. Can't go wrong. Not Brooks Brothers but quality nonetheless.
